How do I clean my small metal beauty tools?

Q: I would like to clean and sanitize my tweezers, nail clippers, etc. I thought rubbing alcohol would work but it didn't do the job. Some of the nail clippers are really old and have junk on them, plus that gross dirty metal smell. What should I use to clean them?

A: I use an old toothbrush and toothpaste, not gel, and lightly scrub. I also use this on all my jewelry, the good and the cheap.

    This curling iron heats up with dispatch and is great because of the various heat settings. The cord does lean to tangle but not nearly as often as my old one. It is also much longer. Very durable and I would buy it again.
